Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 25, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Luvius ("we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit luvius.net, create an account, place an order, sign up for our emails or texts, or contact us. It also explains the choices and rights you have, including under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA) and other US state privacy laws.

Information we collect

  • Contact and account details: name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing address, and your account login.
  • Order information: the products you buy, order history, discount codes, gift messages, and customer service conversations.
  • Payment information: processed directly by our payment providers (such as Stripe and PayPal). We receive only limited details, such as the card brand, the last four digits and the billing ZIP code. We never store full card numbers.
  • Personalization content: photos you upload, pet names and other text you add, and the designs you create in our personalizer.
  • Pet profiles: if you choose to save them, your pet's name, type, breed, birthday and adoption date, so we can send reminders you ask for.
  • Reviews: your rating, review text, photos, display name and the city and state you choose to show.
  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, links clicked, the site that referred you, and approximate location (city or state) derived from your IP address. Some of this is collected with cookies and similar technologies, described below.

We collect this information from you, automatically from your browser or device, and from our service providers (for example, delivery status from shipping carriers). We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information such as precise geolocation, government ID numbers or health information, and we do not use personal information to infer characteristics about you.

How we use information

  • To create your previews, produce and ship your order, and send order and shipping updates.
  • To provide customer support, process reprints and refunds, and manage your account.
  • To send marketing emails or text messages if you sign up, and pet birthday or adoption reminders if you ask for them.
  • To publish reviews you submit and, with your permission, review photos in our customer gallery.
  • To prevent fraud, abuse and spam, and to keep our site secure.
  • To understand how our site is used and improve our products and services.
  • To show you relevant Luvius ads on other websites and apps and to measure our ads, subject to your choices below.
  • To comply with law, enforce our terms and protect our rights.

Your uploaded photos

We use your photos only to create your design preview and to print your order. We share them only with the print partner that makes your item and with the service providers that store and process them for us (including image services that remove a background or create an AI portrait when you choose those features). We do not sell your photos, and we do not use them in our marketing unless you give us permission, for example by submitting them with a review and agreeing to show them. Photos you upload for a design you do not order are deleted after about 30 days.

How we share information

We share personal information with service providers that help us run our store, under contracts that limit how they can use it:

  • Print and fulfillment partners (such as Printful) and shipping carriers, to make and deliver your order.
  • Payment processors (such as Stripe and PayPal), and fraud and bot protection services (such as Cloudflare Turnstile).
  • Email and text message delivery, hosting and cloud storage, address autocomplete (Google), and customer support tools.
  • Analytics providers (Google Analytics 4), to understand how our site is used.

We also work with advertising partners, including Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Pinterest, TikTok and Google, through cookies, pixels and server-side conversion tools. They may receive device identifiers, the pages you view, what you add to your cart or buy, and a scrambled (hashed) version of your email address or phone number, which they can use to show and measure ads. Under California and some other state laws, this can count as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising, even though no money changes hands. You can opt out at any time, as explained below.

We may also disclose information to comply with law or valid legal process, to protect the rights and safety of our customers and our business, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.

Cookies, pixels and similar technologies

  • Essential: keep your cart, checkout and sign-in working and remember your privacy choices. These are always on.
  • Analytics: Google Analytics 4 measures visits and how the site is used.
  • Advertising: the Meta Pixel, Pinterest Tag, TikTok Pixel and Google Ads tags, plus their server-side conversion tools, help us show and measure ads.

Analytics and advertising technologies run only as your privacy choices allow. In states where the law requires your consent first, they stay off until you accept. You can change your choices at any time with the link in the footer of every page, and you can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

We do not sell personal information for money. To opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information for targeted advertising, select Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information in the footer of any page and turn off advertising. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC): if your browser or extension sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of sale and sharing, and we turn advertising technologies off for that browser automatically. Because these choices are stored in your browser, repeat them on each browser and device you use, or email us to opt out for your account. We do not sell or share the personal information of consumers we know are under 16.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon and other states with privacy laws), you may have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect, use and disclose, and get a copy of it in a portable format.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions (for example, records we must keep for taxes).
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising.
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

To make a request, email [email protected] with the subject line "Privacy request" and tell us what you would like us to do. We will confirm your request within 10 business days and respond within 45 days (or let you know if we need up to 45 more days, as the law allows). To protect your information, we verify requests by matching details you give us, such as your email address and an order number. You may use an authorized agent; we may ask the agent for proof of your permission and ask you to confirm your identity. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision with the word "Appeal", and we will respond within the time required by law.

Marketing emails and texts

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time with the link at the bottom of every email. If you sign up for text messages, reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help; message and data rates may apply, and consent to texts is never a condition of purchase. We will still send messages about your orders, such as confirmations and shipping updates.

How long we keep information

  • Order and payment records: for as long as needed for taxes, accounting and legal claims, generally 7 years.
  • Photos and print files for orders: with the order, so we can reprint an item or help with a claim. Photos for designs you never order are deleted after about 30 days.
  • Account and pet profile information: until you delete it or ask us to close your account.
  • Marketing preferences: until you unsubscribe. We keep a minimal record of unsubscribed addresses so we do not email them again.
  • Analytics data: up to 14 months.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit, restricted access and payment processors certified under PCI DSS. No system is completely secure, so please use a strong, unique password for your account.

Children

Our store is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

Where we process information

Luvius is based in the United States, and we and our service providers store and process information in the United States.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date and, if the changes are significant, let you know by email or with a notice on our site.
